Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University, represented by the University Vice Presidency for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, concluded its participation in the First Saudi Innovation and Entrepreneurship Conference, held under the theme "Idea, Invention, and Impact." The conference was held at the King Faisal Conference Center at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah from October 21 to 22, 2025.
The conference aims to consolidate the role of academic institutions as a key driver of economic development and targets a select group of academics, researchers, entrepreneurship experts, and decision-makers involved in this vital field.
The university's pavilion at the conference's accompanying exhibition, supervised by the Public Relations and Corporate Identity Department, received significant interest from visitors and interested researchers, specialists, and entrepreneurs. Participants were able to view a range of innovations and technological applications produced by the university's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Accelerator, which serves as a living model for transforming creative ideas into emerging projects capable of creating a tangible economic and social impact.
In addition to showcasing its innovative products, the university contributed to enriching the conference's scientific and dialogue agenda through the participation of several of its employees in various working sessions. Dr. Mohammed Al-Asiri participated in a scientific session titled "Measuring the Economic Impact of University Business Accelerators: Developing Performance Indicators to Enhance Entrepreneurial Sustainability," while Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Dughaither participated in a dialogue session on "University Experiences in Supporting Innovation and Entrepreneurship." Dr. Mohammed Al-Harthi presented a paper in a session titled "Education, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship in the Digital Age." Additionally, Dr. Tariq Al-Qaisi and Dr. Fahda Al-Marshed participated in a discussion session on "Strengthening Partnerships between Research, Innovation, and National Industry."
The university's participation in this national conference stems from its commitment to supporting the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem and enhancing its role as an effective driver of economic development, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. It also stems from a belief in the importance of exchanging expertise and knowledge with various academic and industrial entities and national institutions.
