The Deanship of Student Affairs at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University organized an orientation booth for new students yesterday, Sunday, at the College of Applied Medical Sciences building on the University’s main campus in Al-Kharj. The booth introduced students to the academic and support services and activities that contribute to enhancing their university experience and facilitating their educational journey at the start of the new academic year 1448 AH.
The interactive booth showcased the services provided by the Deanship’s agencies and departments. The Rewards and Student Fund Department explained the procedures for issuing ATM cards, the regulations governing monthly stipends, and the procedures for applying for financial assistance and loans, as well as resolving student issues in accordance with approved regulations. Meanwhile, the Student Services and Housing Agency provided information on food and stationery outlets, as well as student housing services, including computer laboratories, reading and study halls, and comprehensive access services for students with disabilities. The agency also highlighted psychological and social support provided through virtual clinics and guidance and counseling programs.
In the area of personal and professional development, the booth introduced students to the services of the Guidance and Counseling Unit, including psychological, academic, and career counseling, as well as general programs aimed at promoting mental well-being. These services seek to improve academic achievement and help students adapt quickly to the university environment.
The Activities Agency also presented a range of specialized programs and events planned for the academic year, covering scientific, sports, and cultural activities, innovation and entrepreneurship competitions, volunteer programs, and scouting activities. Students were also invited to join specialized student clubs, including the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Club, Scouts Club, Ehsan Volunteer Club, and Google Developers Club.
The organization of this orientation booth reflects the University’s commitment to direct, on-campus engagement with students and to harnessing all available resources to support their academic and psychological well-being while developing their leadership and community skills, in alignment with the University’s strategic objectives.
