The Central Laboratory at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University has revealed its operational and training statistics for the summer semester of the 2026 academic year, reflecting advanced research activity and a vital role in supporting the University’s research and innovation ecosystem.
The statistics showed that more than 1,060 laboratory testing and analysis requests were completed, involving over 5,900 hours of work and training. This was carried out within an integrated research environment that included the participation of 15 faculty members, researchers, and supervisors, in addition to the training of 49 male and female trainees, including research assistants and equipment operators from among graduates, postgraduate students, undergraduate students, and gifted students from general education.
The laboratory’s training and research activities focused on an advanced network of laboratories specializing in materials and their applications, covering health research, energy, polymers, batteries, organic synthesis, and sustainability research. The trainees benefited from specialized initiatives and programs, including the Scientific Summer Camp for Gifted Students, the Research Capacity-Building Program for Students and Graduates, and the Cooperative Training Program, further strengthening the University’s role as a knowledge partner in national development.
These achievements reflect the University’s plans to provide an enabling environment for scientific research and to qualify young national talent according to the highest technical standards, in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 in the fields of research, development, and innovation.
