Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University welcomed its male and female students today, Sunday, across its various colleges at the main campus in Al-Kharj and the University’s branches, marking the start of the new academic year 1448 AH. This took place amid a comprehensive range of academic, technological, and support preparations to ensure the smooth delivery of the educational process from the very first day.
The University’s preparations included readying all academic facilities and upgrading its digital infrastructure to support the admission and registration system, in addition to enhancing the Central Library, Clinical Simulation Center, and Digital Content Center. The University also attracted distinguished academic talent to strengthen the educational ecosystem and improve the quality and efficiency of its outcomes.
The President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Tamim, welcomed the students, particularly new students, encouraging them to make the most of their university years through dedication and perseverance. He affirmed the University’s commitment to providing an integrated educational experience that develops national competencies capable of making an effective contribution to serving their faith and nation.
Meanwhile, the Deanship of Student Affairs announced the opening of electronic registration for student housing for the first semester through the Academic Services Portal. It also provides comprehensive support for students with disabilities and psychological and social care through the virtual clinic. At the same time, the Deanship of Admission and Registration and the Academic Advising Unit launched orientation programs to prepare students and familiarize them with the applicable regulations, policies, and available services.
In terms of extracurricular activities, the University has provided a network of student clubs, including the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Club, Ehsan Volunteer Club, and Scouts Club. Students can also join activities through the digital “Nashati” platform, while the University’s service departments have completed all operational arrangements to ensure the readiness and maintenance of facilities.
This comprehensive preparation reflects the University’s strategic direction toward advancing its educational and research ecosystem and achieving leadership among Saudi universities, in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
