A delegation comprising members of the Strategic Committee emanating from the Council of University Affairs visited Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University today to review the university's development projects in various academic and research fields.
The delegation began their tour by reviewing the most notable achievements made by university staff and students during 2024 and 2025 in the areas of innovation, scientific research, and academic and athletic excellence, reflecting the university's established position locally and internationally.
The program included a visit to the laboratories of the College of Science and Humanities, where they were briefed on the advanced technical capabilities and equipment that support the educational and research process and enable researchers and students to implement their scientific projects.
The delegation members met with His Excellency the President of the University, Professor Abdullah Al-Tamimi, who welcomed them. During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation in the educational and academic fields.
A meeting was held between the delegation and a number of university leaders and officials, during which the university's identity and future vision were reviewed, along with its academic accreditations and diverse research programs.
The delegation toured the Research and Development Center, a key pillar in supporting innovation and enabling scientific research in strategic fields. The delegation was briefed on the center's advanced infrastructure, which contributes to promoting technology localization and supporting the knowledge economy, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
The visit comes within the framework of continuing joint work and constructive cooperation between the Strategic Committee of the Council of University Affairs and academic educational institutions to explore the capabilities and potential of universities in the Kingdom.
