Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz University (PSAU) has achieved a notable international academic milestone by advancing 50 places in the QS World University Rankings 2027, reaching 677th place globally, according to the official results released by QS, the UK-based organization specializing in the evaluation of higher education institutions worldwide.
This remarkable advancement was supported by the University's outstanding performance in the International Research Network (IRN) indicator, where it ranked 88th globally and second among Saudi universities. The indicator serves as a strategic measure of the strength and breadth of international research collaboration and reflects the University's growing scientific partnerships with leading academic and research institutions around the world.
The QS World University Rankings are based on a comprehensive set of rigorous criteria, including academic reputation, employer reputation, and research impact measured through citations. These indicators provide a holistic assessment of higher education institutions and highlight the quality of their educational and research outcomes on the global stage.
It is noteworthy that Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz University entered the QS World University Rankings for the first time in the 2026 edition, ranking within the 721–730 global band. This achievement further strengthened the University's distinguished academic standing among institutions that have attained the prestigious “Triple Crown” status through simultaneous inclusion in the world's three leading university rankings: the QS World University Rankings, the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings, and the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), commonly known as the Shanghai Ranking.
