His Excellency Prof. Hamad bin Nasser Al‑Turaiki, Vice President of Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University, inaugurated on Monday the new state‑of‑the‑art medical laboratories at the University Hospital in Al‑Kharj. The opening comes as part of the university’s strategic plan to advance its healthcare system and enhance the efficiency of medical services provided to beneficiaries.
Upon his arrival, His Excellency cut the ceremonial ribbon, marking the official launch of operations in the newly developed laboratories. He then toured the various laboratory units, which are equipped with the latest advanced medical testing technologies and devices. During the visit, he was briefed by the hospital’s Executive Director, Dr. Tariq Al‑Faifi, and the Head of the Laboratory Department, Specialist Abdulhadi Kaabi, on the laboratories’ capacity, workflow, and the high accuracy of diagnostic results produced in accordance with approved health standards.
These new laboratories represent a qualitative leap in the quality of healthcare services at the university, supporting scientific research and providing clinical training opportunities for students of health colleges. They contribute to creating an integrated educational and research environment aligned with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to advance the national healthcare sector.
The laboratories are expected to significantly improve diagnostic accuracy and operational efficiency, having been equipped with advanced systems that ensure smooth flow of medical data. This will reduce waiting times and enhance the quality of medical services provided to beneficiaries—positively impacting treatment plans and enabling precise results in record time.
