Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz University has concluded its participation in the NAFSA 2026 Annual Conference and Exhibition, held in Orlando, Florida, United States, from May 26 to 29, as part of the Saudi Ministry of Education’s pavilion and under the strategic support and empowerment of the Council of Universities’ Affairs.
The University participated as one of 20 Saudi universities representing the Kingdom at this prominent international event, aiming to showcase the progress and global competitiveness of Saudi higher education and its achievements in research, development, and innovation. The participation also sought to foster strategic academic and scientific partnerships aligned with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
The University’s pavilion received several high-level visits, further strengthening its international academic presence. Among the distinguished visitors was His Excellency Prof. Hani Mohammed Choudhry, Deputy Secretary-General of the Council of Universities’ Affairs, who reviewed the University’s key initiatives, academic programs, and knowledge-based leadership ecosystem. The University also presented its international initiatives and programs to Her Excellency Dr. Tahani bint Abdulaziz Al-Baiz, Saudi Cultural Attaché at the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Embassy in the United States, during her visit to the pavilion on the third day of the conference.
As part of its efforts to expand international partnerships and strengthen knowledge exchange, the University’s pavilion was visited by Dr. Michael Bastl, Vice Provost for Global Engagement at North Carolina State University. Discussions focused on opportunities for collaboration in specialized academic and research fields.
Through this international participation, Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz University sought to hold a series of bilateral meetings and coordination sessions with several American universities and educational institutions to explore strategic partnership opportunities in developing academic programs, supporting research, development, and innovation, and facilitating student and academic exchange programs. These efforts reflect the University’s commitment to aligning with international standards and enhancing the global competitiveness of Saudi universities.
