Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University celebrated Saudi Flag Day through a series of national events and activities that reflected the significance of the Saudi flag in the conscience of society and reinforced the values of belonging and pride in national identity among its staff and students.
Across the university’s facilities and roadways, the Saudi flag was raised at several prominent locations. In addition, the university gates and surrounding areas were illuminated in green, creating a scene that embodied the symbolism of the Saudi flag and what it represents in terms of unity, strength, and stability. These initiatives come as part of the university’s commitment to participating in national occasions and enhancing awareness of their historical and national significance.
In the same context, the university organized an introductory seminar titled “The Banner of Pride and Victory,” delivered by Dr. Maryam Khalaf Al-Otaibi. During the seminar, she discussed the symbolism of the Saudi flag and its place in the history of the Kingdom, highlighting its national significance and the enduring meanings it holds in the collective memory of the nation’s people, in addition to its role in strengthening the values of unity and belonging.
The university also launched an internal communication campaign through its media platforms to highlight this national occasion and showcase its meanings, contributing to strengthening feelings of pride and appreciation for the Saudi flag.
With the approach of Eid Al-Fitr, the university raised this year’s slogan: “A Flag That Shades Us… and a Celebration That Brings Us Joy,” a symbolic message that combines pride in the nation’s flag with the joy of the approaching Eid, reflecting the spirit of national unity and the happiness experienced across the Kingdom during its various national occasions.
