His Excellency the President of Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University, Professor Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Tamimi, met today at his office in the university campus with the Ambassador of Burkina Faso to the Kingdom, Boukary Safadogo, in the presence of his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, they discussed several topics of mutual interest and ways to enhance cooperation in academic and educational fields, benefiting international students from Burkina Faso studying at the university and strengthening opportunities for cultural and intellectual exchange.
Following the meeting, the Ambassador met with a group of Burkinabe students at the university, in the presence of His Excellency the Vice Rector for Educational and Academic Affairs, Professor Mishari bin Ayad Al-Osaimi, and His Excellency the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Issa bin Khalaf Al-Dosari.
The meeting began with a presentation by the university highlighting its commitment to international students and the services it provides them, including student housing, restaurants, and sports facilities, as well as programs and activities designed to promote their integration within the university environment and showcase their cultural identity.
The Ambassador then delivered a speech expressing his pleasure at visiting the university and meeting the students. He commended the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for providing educational opportunities for international students and praised Prince Sattam University for its efforts in supporting students from Burkina Faso.
The Ambassador urged the students to be outstanding ambassadors for their country, emphasizing the importance of choosing academic specializations that will benefit their future and their nation, while adhering to the laws and regulations of the Kingdom. He affirmed that the Embassy would continue to support them in all their needs and encouraged them to strive for excellence in their studies and to cooperate with one another to foster a spirit of solidarity and distinction.
In closing, the Ambassador thanked the University President and Vice Presidents for their care of international students, noting that the Burkinabe students at the university represent a shining example of academic excellence.
The Ambassador was accompanied on his visit by the Consular Affairs Counselor, Moumouni Ouedraogo, and the Cultural Affairs Officer, Soumdakoma Soubiga Zermine.
