The Vice Rector for Educational and Academic Affairs at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University, Professor Dr. Mishari bin Ayad Al-Osaimi, witnessed on Tuesday the launch of the “Tuwaiq Academy Club” at the university. The initiative is part of the Tuwaiq University Clubs program recently launched by the academy across 16 universities in various regions of the Kingdom, aiming to equip students with future skills and advanced technologies through high-quality programs and global partnerships.
The establishment of the club at Prince Sattam University reflects its status as one of the leading Saudi universities selected to activate this technical initiative. Tuwaiq Academy officially launched its university clubs in a large-scale ceremony held at its headquarters in Riyadh, attended by several university presidents, vice presidents, and deans, with the goal of building national capabilities aligned with labor market needs through active technical communities within the academic environment.
The clubs aim to provide exceptional learning opportunities that enhance students’ expertise and skills in areas such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, programming, and cloud computing. This is achieved through a range of professional technical programs, specialized workshops, and career mentoring initiatives supervised by experts and specialists, based on the latest global practices with a strong focus on practical application.
The presence of the Tuwaiq Academy Club at the university contributes to strengthening students’ capabilities during their academic journey and empowering them with tools for innovation and competitiveness in the technology sector. This aligns with the university’s efforts to develop the educational environment and supports the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 in human capital development and digital transformation.
It is worth noting that the academy seeks to establish an integrated technical environment within universities that bridges the gap between academic outcomes and future job market requirements through technical challenges and competitions that encourage creativity and excellence across various digital fields.
