The Central Laboratory at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University has announced its operational and training statistics for the second semester of the 1447 AH academic year, reflecting significant research activity and its vital role in supporting the university’s research and innovation ecosystem.
The statistics revealed the completion of more than 1,400 laboratory testing and analysis requests, carried out over more than 6,400 hours of work and training. These activities were conducted within an integrated research environment involving 29 faculty members, researchers, and laboratory supervisors, in addition to training 49 trainees, including research assistants and equipment operators from among graduates, postgraduate students, and undergraduate students.
The laboratory’s training and research activities were centered within a network of advanced materials and applications laboratories, supporting research in health, energy, polymers, batteries, organic synthesis, and sustainability. Trainees benefited from a range of specialized initiatives, including student training programs offered through the Scientific Forum and discipline-specific programs provided via the National Open Access Portal, further strengthening the university’s role as a knowledge partner in national development.
This outstanding performance by the Central Laboratory reflects the university’s commitment to providing a stimulating environment for scientific research and to preparing young national talents according to the highest technical standards, in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 in the fields of research, development, and innovation.
