Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University, represented by the General Administration of Information Technology, today signed two Memoranda of Understanding and a Cooperation Agreement with Microsoft Arabia, Oracle Systems Limited, and Ijad Technology for Information Technology. The agreements aim to establish frameworks for cooperation and coordinate efforts in the areas of cloud computing, artificial intelligence, data analytics, emerging technologies, and technology knowledge transfer. These partnerships are expected to contribute to enhancing the educational process and improving the efficiency of the University’s digital services ecosystem.
The signing ceremonies took place at the venue of the fifth edition of the global technology conference, LEAP 2026, held at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center. The agreements were signed on behalf of the University by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hamad Al-Turki, in the presence of several officials and executive representatives of the participating companies.
The signed Memoranda of Understanding and Cooperation Agreement provide for exploring areas of collaboration to support the University’s Center of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence and Cloud Computing, activate the Microsoft Learn platform for self-paced learning and the development of customized learning pathways, and provide access to specialized educational programs and platforms through Oracle Academy. These initiatives aim to prepare and qualify national talent to obtain professional and internationally recognized certifications.
The areas of cooperation also include providing cooperative training opportunities, conducting joint research and innovation initiatives in collaboration with the University’s Research Center to leverage advanced cloud technologies, participating in hackathons, and developing digital laboratories. These efforts will contribute to aligning academic outcomes with future technology requirements and transferring global best practices in digital transformation.
These strategic partnerships reflect the University’s ongoing commitment to adopting modern technological practices and supporting digital transformation and scientific research initiatives. They also aim to develop qualified human capital capable of contributing to the advancement of the digital economy and creating future growth opportunities, in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
