His Royal Highness Prince Fahd bin Mohammed bin Saad bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al Kharj, honored at the Governorate headquarters yesterday Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University in recognition of its effective participation in providing support, assistance, and organizational services at the Guests of the Merciful Service Center in the governorate during this year’s Hajj season 1447H. The center is designated to receive pilgrims arriving from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, with the participation of various governmental, service, health, and volunteer entities.
The recognition comes in appreciation of the vital role played by 18 male and female students from the university at the center’s premises, contributing to enhancing integrated service systems and facilitating the journey of pilgrims through the governorate’s entry points.
It is noteworthy that the university’s efforts also extended to broad participation in serving pilgrims in the Holy Sites, where it contributed a delegation of 99 participants, including 48 field guides who carried out field surveys, assisted lost pilgrims, and guided them to their camps and families. The total number of guidance cases handled reached 10,608.
In addition, 51 male and female volunteers from the university’s health colleges participated in cooperation with the Saudi Red Crescent Authority, providing comprehensive emergency medical services to the Guests of Allah as part of supporting medical teams in field locations. The total number of emergency and healthcare cases provided reached 598, reflecting the university’s commitment to social responsibility and its dedication to harnessing the capabilities of its staff in service of pilgrims in line with the aspirations of the wise leadership.
