PSAU has advanced more than 70 places in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2027, placing among the world’s top 450 universities and strengthening its position among the top five universities in Saudi Arabia.
The latest result continues PSAU’s upward progress in the global rankings.
PSAU President Prof. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Tamim said the new ranking reflects coordinated institutional efforts to develop education, scientific research, and innovation. He also expressed his appreciation for the efforts of PSAU staff, students, researchers, and partners who contributed to this progress.
Al-Tamim noted that PSAU views international rankings as one of the tools used to measure improvement and academic competitiveness. He added that its goal extends beyond maintaining its current achievements to continuing its progress toward joining the world’s top 200 universities by 2030.
PSAU continues to enhance the quality and outcomes of scientific research, support academic innovation, develop its educational and research environment, and expand its network of local and international partnerships to strengthen its scientific and academic impact and achieve its strategic objectives.
The latest advancement marks another step in PSAU’s efforts to strengthen its academic and research presence locally and internationally and establish its position as a Saudi university with global competitiveness.
