Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Medical Devices Manufacturers Association, affiliated with the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, to strengthen the strategic partnership between the academic and industrial sectors and support innovation and scientific research.
The signing ceremony took place in Riyadh on the sidelines of the fourth edition of the Riyadh Global Medical Biotechnology Summit 2026. The University was represented at the signing by Dr. Yousef Al-Harbi, Dean of the College of Applied Medical Sciences, in the presence of several officials and stakeholders from the healthcare and industrial sectors.
The MoU provides for enhanced cooperation in education, training, scientific research, and innovation, as well as specialized technical consulting. These efforts will contribute to developing and localizing the medical devices industry in support of the objectives of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
