His Excellency the President of Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University, Professor Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Tamimi, inaugurated the "Cultures of Nations Tent" activities, coinciding with the celebration of International Students' Day, in the presence of the university's vice presidents, several officials, business leaders, and heads of associations in Al-Kharj. The event featured international students from 22 countries.
The university president toured the tent, whose various pavilions showcased the diverse cultures, customs, and heritage of the participating nations. These included heritage displays, textiles, handicrafts, traditional foods, models, and photographs of natural and historical landmarks reflecting each country's identity, creating an interactive experience for visitors.
Following the tour, His Excellency visited an exhibition of participating organizations in the College of Medicine's lobby. These organizations presented information about their services, initiatives, and programs for scholarship students, as well as their contributions to developing the educational environment.
The ceremony included a speech by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Scholarship Fund, Professor Mishari bin Ayad Al-Osaimi, who highlighted the university's efforts in supporting international students and their academic journeys. The program included a presentation introducing the Endowment Fund for Supporting Scholarship Programs, which focused on the roles and initiatives offered to enhance the student experience within the university.
The event also featured a film titled “The Role of the Kingdom and the University in Serving Scholarship Students,” in which students from various continents participated, showcasing examples of their academic experiences and the support they receive.
The program witnessed the signing of several agreements and partnerships with various entities, aimed at supporting scholarship programs, developing the services provided to students, and strengthening the university’s role in fostering and exchanging cultural diversity among its students. This reflects the university’s commitment to providing a global learning environment that embodies the Kingdom’s values and its mission to support international education and empower students from around the world.
