Under the patronage and presence of His Excellency Prof. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Tamim, President of Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz University, the university—represented by the Public Relations and Corporate Identity Department—organized yesterday (Tuesday) the first edition of the “Sattam Authors” Exhibition 2026 and the Sattam Cultural Café at the university campus in Al-Kharj.
The exhibition and cultural café aim to highlight and support the intellectual and literary contributions of the university’s academic and administrative staff, showcasing their publications across various literary, cultural, and scientific fields.
The exhibition featured 12 authors from the university, presenting around 40 books covering diverse topics, including literature, culture, history, media, specialized scientific works, novels, and intellectual and linguistic studies.
The Sattam Cultural Café hosted a discussion session with the university’s authors, attended by a distinguished group of cultural, media, and literary figures in Al-Kharj. The session addressed key challenges facing authors, explored optimal ways to support them, and emphasized the university’s role as a beacon of culture and a source of knowledge for society. Participants also discussed strategies for promoting books at public events and mechanisms for utilizing these works as cultural and academic resources within the university and its colleges.
The exhibition attracted notable attendance from writers, intellectuals, and the local community in Al-Kharj, reflecting the strong connection between the university and its social environment.
This initiative is part of the university’s ongoing efforts to foster cultural engagement, encourage authorship and knowledge innovation, and provide opportunities for readers to interact with creative minds—contributing to the dissemination of culture and enrichment of the literary and intellectual landscape in the Kingdom.
