Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University has achieved a significant milestone in the Times Higher Education (THE) Subject Rankings 2026, reflecting the University’s continued advancement in both its educational and research ecosystems at the global and national levels.
This accomplishment builds on the University’s ongoing success in the global Times rankings, where it was placed within the 401 category worldwide, in addition to earning 16th place among Arab universities, according to the same ranking body. These achievements highlight the University’s sustained institutional development and the growing international recognition of the quality of its outcomes.
Results of the 2026 subject-specific rankings revealed notable improvements across several academic fields compared to the previous year. The University advanced in the Engineering subject category to the 201–250 band globally, securing 4th place nationally among Saudi universities. Additionally, the subjects of Business and Economics, Computer Science, and Physical Sciences jumped to the 301–400 band worldwide, placing the University among the top five universities nationally in these disciplines.
Similarly, the University’s ranking in Clinical and Health Sciences improved to the 501–600 band globally, earning 5th place nationally, while the Education subject area entered the rankings for the first time within the 401–500 band globally and 5th place nationally. These results underscore the University’s expanding academic coverage and its growing competitive presence within the Times global evaluation framework.
