Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University Council held its sixth session for the 1447 AH academic year yesterday (Monday), chaired by His Excellency the University President, Prof. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al‑Taimi, and attended by the Council members. The session discussed a number of agenda items related to academic and administrative operations, as well as the development of the University’s educational ecosystem.
During the meeting, the Council reviewed several reports and topics, and approved the appointment of a number of Saudi faculty members to the rank of Assistant Professor, all of whom hold doctoral degrees. This step aims to strengthen the academic workforce across the University’s various colleges.
The Council was also briefed on decisions taken by the University under the authorities delegated to it, ensuring operational flexibility and expediting workflows. In addition, a number of proposals and topics aimed at supporting the University’s strategic objectives were discussed, with a focus on enhancing the quality of educational outcomes and advancing the academic environment. The Council further approved the awarding of master’s degrees to a number of postgraduate students.
The convening of this session reflects the University’s commitment to reviewing its operational plans and ensuring the effectiveness of decisions that support the educational process and scientific research, in alignment with the strategic goals of higher education in the Kingdom.
