On the occasion of International Anti-Corruption Day, His Excellency Professor Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Tamimi, President of Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University, affirmed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince – may God protect them – places great importance on protecting integrity and combating corruption, making it a fundamental pillar for ensuring sustainable development based on transparency, governance, and accountability.
Al-Tamimi pointed out that this national approach has effectively contributed to developing oversight systems, raising societal awareness, and strengthening trust between citizens and state institutions. He emphasized on this international day the value of collaborative efforts in safeguarding public funds and establishing ethical work environments.
His Excellency stressed that universities play a pivotal role in this endeavor, as they cultivate awareness, promote sound practices, and prepare future generations to shoulder their ethical and national responsibilities.
He explained that Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University is working to develop its governance system, activate transparency channels, and empower its members to actively contribute to protecting national achievements.
Al-Tamimi concluded his statement by saying that integrity is a culture, behavior, and shared responsibility, through which trust is renewed and the nation’s institutions are strengthened, praying to God to perpetuate security and prosperity for the Kingdom.
