The British Council has selected Dr. Mohammed Al‑Shammari, Assistant Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University, as one of the winners of the UK Alumni Awards 2026, in recognition of his efforts in medical education, international education, and his contributions to community development.
Dr. Al‑Shammari received a grant from the British Council to develop an AI‑based tool for medical education, supported by Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University — represented by the College of Dentistry — and Queen Mary University of London. This initiative comes as part of ongoing efforts to foster innovation, development, and international research collaboration.
The UK Alumni Awards are presented annually to outstanding graduates of UK universities who have achieved notable accomplishments in their fields and made a positive impact within their communities.
